and here are some after shots:
I decided that I wanted to go with a salmon color so I painted the entire thing with that color. Then I wasn't really feelin' it (does that ever happen to you?) So I knew I wanted to mute the color and I couldn't make up my mind on what color I wanted on the top because I thought it would look too plain to all be the same color. That is when I decided to use the Martha Stewart paint samples that I got from Home Depot. All colors for $4! What a steal! Only they wouldn't ship to Hawaii :( go figure! So I sent out a FB plea asking if anyone would be willing to order these for me and then mail them to me in Hawaii. Luckily, a great friend and my Dad came through for me and I got 2 sets!<3. Anyway...back to the subject. After I painted all of the squares I dry brushed on some separate colors on top followed by a streaky stain treatment. NOW I was feelin' it!! lol. It sure does add a punch of color to my living room. I knew it would. And my blankets now have a new home :)
